Hello! My name is Sam Siple. I am the author of this website. When I was in high school, I did cheerleading for four years. My senior year, I was given the greatest leadership spot as a captain. Cheerleading was my life pretty much. I ate, slept, breathed cheerleading. 

 

During my senior year, I went with a friend of mine to their all-star gym known as Thunder Elite in Clackamas, Oregon. As I sat and watched practices, I realized how much different all-star cheer is to high school cheer. I also realized that a lot of people did not realize there was much of a difference between the two. But there definietly is!

 

The reason behind me choosing cheerleading as my topic of interest was because, 1. I really love cheerleading, and I could talk forever about it, and 2. A lot of people don't realize how different high school, all-star and college cheerleading is. High school is much like college, but college cheer is allowed to do more difficult stunts. All-star is completely different, being that they don't have pom poms and they don't cheer for a sport or crowd.
